The New MEGA Aussie Shield Pro ST Screw Terminal edition is a fully assembled INDUSTRIAL version of our Aussie Shield Pro ST designed for the Rugged MEGA and Arduino Mega.  It breaks out ALL of the MEGA pins for easy access to sturdy screw terminal blocks for a more secure connection.  Terminals accept larger diameter wire with a more secure grip than standard push style terminal blocks.  Accept up 16 AWG wire. 

Instantly mount the MEGA Aussie Shield Pro ST to a standard 35mm DIN Rail using our MEGA Din Rail Kit. Mountable in either horizontal or vertical position.  The MEGA Aussie Shield ST board is the easiest way to add DIN Rail Connectivity to a standard Arduino Mega or Mega compatible microcontroller board using the optional MEGA DIN Rail Kit.

The MEGA Aussie Shield Pro ST is the shield that sits “down under”.   The microcontroller board plugs in upside down, and the shield extends the connection pins out to high quality quick-connect terminals that accept 16AWG to 26AWG wire.  The MEGA Aussie Shield Pro ST also includes a 2-pin screw terminal connector allows you to power the Arduino by connecting to the Vin and GND pin with an additional 2-pin screw terminal dedicated to GND for ultimate flexibility.  The power path is protected by a 500mA PTC fuse and blocking diode to protect against reverse polarity. A tactile switch allows you to reset the Arduino by pulling the RESET line low. Finally, an LED is connected to the D13 pin, isolated by a transistor so the D13 pin is minimally loaded and available for other I/O functions.

Designed to provide a firm union between MEGA and MEGA Aussie Shield Pro which will be evident when placing the MEGA onto the Aussie Shield Pro ST.  The MEGA Aussie was designed with through holes that align with the through holes in the Rugged MEGA and Arduino Mega to accommodate a nylon fastening fastener system where even more bond is needed.
